TRAVERSE CITY: Bayshore Resorts

Traverse City Michigan

#PureMichigan. If you had to choose a city to visit that provided the perfect picture of what Pure Michigan would stand for, it absolutely would have to be Traverse City. Located in the North West region of Michigan, it gives visitors gorgeous views of teal green water with a small town feel. Just a short drive away and you’ll be greeted by an even smaller town filled with the Pure Michigan charm offered by Up North destinations. Fishtown located in Leland is quaint, cute, and apparently worth a trip just for the bloody mary alone. Another few miles and you’ll find yourself at Pyramid Point. Ever growing in popularity, this little hike gives visitors a gorgeous view of Lake Michigan from 260 ft. atop a giant naturally occurring sand dune.

The best part about Traverse City? It’s perfect for any number of occasions: a girls weekend, a romantic getaway, a weekend away to recoup after a long work week. It doesn’t matter the reason, you’ll find a number of amazing things to do!  Alleigh,  Emily  and myself had the wonderful opportunity to collaborate with Bayshore Resort right in downtown Traverse City. It was the perfect location. Close enough to the hustle and bustle, but far enough away that we had a wonderful private beach to hang out on. Waking up to the gorgeous sunrise across the lake was indescribable.

Bayshore provided us with room and board in exchange for a review of their services, and I have nothing but great things to say! With complimentary breakfast until 10am, you can get your day started at your own pace. Save a couple bucks by eating the continental breakfast, and spend that $$$ on some of the amazing shops downtown. A few of my favorites? M22, American Spoon, and the Darling Botanical Company.

Our MUST SEE stops? Mission Point (wineries galore!), The Little Fleet (food trucks upon food trucks!), and downtown Traverse City for tons of shopping! If you're up for a little more adventure, head out to Fishtown or the Dunes for some gorgeous views!
